Integrating social media marketing into my business has given me the opportunity to meet 100’s of other business owners throughout the country. One of my most recent interactions introduced me to two business owners in our own Ventura County. Through the use of Facebook Pages and Facebook Groups I had the opportunity to meet Mark and Theresa Delgado, owners of, I Would Rather Be Baking Co.
Wedding Cake by I Would Rather Be Baking
I Would Rather Be Baking Co. specializes in custom made cakes, cupcakes, mini-cupcakes, cookies, pies, cheesecakes and whatever sweet treats your heart desires. Upon our meeting, Mark and Theresa offered me a gift of a dozen Red-Velvet and Carrot-cake minis in a beautiful package. I wish I could tell you that I was able to eat a whole mini-cupcake, but before I could finish my mini, my family had dusted off the whole box. My 11 year old asked me If I could arrange another meeting with Mark and Theresa and ask for some more of their delicious treats.
Theresa is not new to the art of baking. She has been baking for the past 18 years for friends and family. It was during a cake decorating class when she decided to take her hobby seriously and discovered that she had the gift of satisfying every sweet tooth.
Mark, who comes from an entertainment and also construction background, works side-by-side with his wife Theresa. Using his construction background, Mark has become a master cake architect. No job is too small or too big for these two visionary bakers.
Currently Mark and Theresa create their phenomenal baking goods in the kitchen of DJ’s Catering Company. Although, I Would Rather Be Baking Co. was established in March of 2010, Mark and Theresa have already provided their services for some of Ventura County’s most prominent events. You may have seen or tasted I Would Rather Be Baking Co.’s goodies at the Taste of Camarillo or Casa Pasifica events.
